Brent Clapacs, the former head of equities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Merrill Lynch and a former neighbor of the fiery Jim Cramer, recently came in to speak to the St. Edward Investment Club. His discussion touched on some basic concepts in capital markets.
Mr. Clapacs played football and hockey at St. Edward High School and graduated in 1981. He went to Harvard and then worked his way up in the financial world. Mr. Clapacs is now retired from Merrill Lynch and is on the Board of Trustees at St. Edward High School.
Mr. Clapacs is currently working to implement a future course on the financial markets at St. Edward. The course would be open to upperclassmen interested in finance.
