St. Edward High School’s Red Cross Blood Drive is essential to northeastern Ohio. Ohio is currently in a blood emergency and every pint of donated blood counts. Only 2-3% of the eligible donors actually give and whatever blood is donated usually gets used within a few weeks. This year, 56 students stepped up to the challenge and donated 58 pints of blood. That blood will help an estimated 174 people throughout our local hospitals. This blood will help save many lives and all participants should be greatly commended.
